Are you tasked with managing projects, but aren’t a formal project manager? Do you run projects that are three months or less in duration and have a small project team? Project Management Essentials can help you run projects more efficiently and effectively so you deliver on time with less stress!
In this highly interactive, three-hour, virtual course, you’ll learn the basics of running small projects well, using tools you’re already familiar with. This course focuses on the concept of just enough project management - you won’t have to learn complicated new processes or software to run projects better!
By the end of this program, you should be able to:
- Describe the characteristics of a small project
- Create a plan for a small project, including a small project definition document, task list, and schedule
- Manage and control the project, including monitoring project progress and managing project communication and key relationships
- Close out a small project
To get the most out of this course, bring a project you’re working on, or need to kick off. You’ll apply what you learn to your actual projects and be able to use what you learn immediately on the job.
