Sarah Schillen, MA, CPTD - Past President*
Sarah Schillen is a strategic Learning and Organization Development leader. Her specialty is finding creative solutions to both organizational challenges and performance/knowledge gaps and in developing learning experiences that are both fun and engaging. Her educational background includes an M.A. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Seattle Pacific University and a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Washington. This background lends to an ability to identify the combination of group levers and individual motivations involved in the dynamics operating within an organization.
Her passion for helping others grow and flourish began at a young age while being heavily involved in performing arts music education programs. Through music, she learned the value of investing energy into the success of others. Today this belief rings true in her professional career.
Amy is a 5-year member of ATDps with a passion for the employee experience within organizations. As Learning & Development Partner at the Community Health Plan of Washington, she runs the Onboarding and Mentoring Programs along with all Employee Growth initiatives. She is currently creating some practical Career Navigation workshops for employees, which she is very excited about. When she is not working or volunteering at ATDps, she enjoys spending time with her nephews, hiking, and taking walks with friends.
Kate Gerasimova - Director of Programs
Kate is a Senior Associate at the L&D, Strategy and Culture consulting firm GothamCulture, where she has developed client solutions for 7+ years. Her experience includes providing strategic and cultural recommendations within our consulting engagements (e.g., culture assessments, competencies development, developing learning journeys, etc) , creating and running leadership development programs for high-potentials, executive team development, curriculum development, project management and facilitation.
Kate holds a BSBA degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with the concentration in consulting. Kate spends her free time playing tennis or taking walks around Edmonds.
OPEN Director of Membership Experience
Lisette West specializes in the creation and delivery of engaging leadership development programs that enable people to tackle tough issues, empower their teams, and enhance performance. Because of her ability to listen to diverse perspectives, empathize in tough situations, and be solution-minded, Lisette was selected from her organization to be Master Trainer for Crucial Conversations. She has a passion for supporting leaders and her impact is wide-reaching, ultimately changing lives one conversation at a time.
Lisette has nearly two decades of facilitation experience in person, virtually, and globally in the staffing and healthcare industries. This includes a decade of teaching recruiting best practices, 5 years teaching EPIC electronic medical records software to healthcare professionals, and experience in the development of end to end learning curricula that both engages and moves the needle for the business.
Lisette earned a bachelor's degree in Human Resources from Loyola Marymount University, a Six Sigma Green Belt certification and the Distinguished Toastmaster Award with Toastmasters International, where she continues to volunteer. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and boating in Gig Harbor with her husband and son.
Bethany is passionate about the art of learning and development. As an experienced instructional designer, she creates engaging experiences that empower individuals to reach their fullest potential at Community Transit. Bethany has been volunteering with ATD Puget Sound since 2017 in various roles. When not designing learning experiences, she enjoys baking and exploring the Pacific Northwest with her family.
With almost a decade of experience in talent development (human resources, career development, and learning & development), Helen has coached people in workplaces and higher education in reaching their professional goals. As an Instructional Designer for a workforce analytics software company, she enables her clients to use award-winning technology to gain valuable insights into their people.
After passing the Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) exam in 2021, Helen established a supportive certification candidate community through ATDps. She manages the chapter's exam prep program as well as recertification initiatives.
Ann Baus provides a variety of office administration and member service functions to our Association and its leadership team. She is also a friend to Board members and the goes-the-extra-mile person who makes many ATD events the successes they are.
She is the Chapter bookkeeper and the front line contact for members, potential members and the public seeking information about our Chapter events and services. She contractually provides these services through her own firm, KDBusinessServices.
Ann’s passion is Association Management – “I love working with small to medium sized membership-based associations. Over 20 years in this field have provided me with a unique perspective in helping associations and their boards.” She has been a key player of ATD Puget Sound since 2002.
