The ATD Puget Sound Mentorship Program brings together learning professionals who believe that growth happens when we learn with and from one another.

This cohort highlights how collaboration thrives in a space built on shared experience, support, and initiative — where mentors and mentees partner to create value for themselves and the wider community.

Whether you’re seeking clarity in your next career step or ready to share hard-earned wisdom, this program offers a structured, supportive space to connect, grow, and make an impact.


Mentees: Clarify your goals, strengthen your confidence, and develop capabilities that matter — through guided mentorship, peer learning and a vibrant professional community.

Mentors: Deepen your leadership presence, sharpen your coaching and feedback skills, and expand your influence by empowering others to grow.

Mentorship is a shared journey — and each conversation creates ripple effects of learning and confidence across our community.

What the Program Offers

This 4.5-month program (January 30 - June 15) is open to both ATD Puget Sound members and guests. Mentors and mentees are matched based on professional goals, experience, and shared areas of focus from the ATD Capability Model.

Together, you'll:

    • Define clear development goals to guide your partnership

    • Engage in structured 1:1 or small-group mentoring

    • Access a curated Mentorship Guide with templates, reflection tools, and conversation starters

    • Connect and exchange insights via our dedicated Slack community

    • Join goal-setting and mentor coaching workshops

    • Participate in peer-to-peer circles, networking events, and office hours

    • Celebrate your progress and connections at the Graduation Celebration

    Beyond the formal sessions, we co-create this space together. Regular check-ins and monthly online sessions keep the program responsive to what matters most to our members — from leadership challenges to career transitions. We intentionally foster an atmosphere where participants step up, show initiative, and create opportunities for shared growth

    Mentors: If you have a “superpower” within the ATD Capability Model, we invite you to share your insights and support the next generation of professionals.

    Mentees: If you’re looking to grow your capabilities, confidence, or clarity—we’ll help you get there.

    Program Kickoff for Participants: January 30th

    Development Goals for Mentees Workshop: February 2, 2026

    Coaching for Mentors Workshop:  February 3, 2026

    Graduation Ceremony:  June 15, 2026

    Also included: monthly office hours for mentees, peer-to-peer circles for mentors, networking opportunities, Slack engagement, and other collaboration initiatives.

    Program Requirements

    To join the program, participants must:

    • (If applying as a mentee) complete the ATD Capability Self-Assessment and pay the registration fee
    • (If applying as a mentor) hold an active ATD Puget Sound membership
    • Submit the appropriate application
    • Commit to a 4.5-month partnership, meeting regularly (~2 hours/month) and engaging in community activities
    • Participate in surveys, Slack conversations, and events 
    • Notify the program manager of any concerns
