Without the help of volunteers nonprofits would not be able to complete their missions. However, engaging volunteers takes capacity that many nonprofit organizations do not have. The United Way of King County and 501 Commons are here to help organizations develop and maintain a successful volunteer program though the Volunteer Impact Partnership (VIP) 360 program.
VIP 360 facilitates a thorough assessment of an organization's volunteer program and helps them create a strategic plan for improvement. 18 organizations have finalized their plans and are ready for action now!
Volunteers are needed to help with a variety of hands on and interactive projects including developing recruitment or marketing plans, staff training plans, processes for identifying and articulating volunteer positions, systems for collecting feedback and much, much more.
On average, volunteers can expect to spend between 15 and 30 hours per project, or 6-10 hours per month between August and November. If you are enthusiastic about volunteerism and have skills in human resources, volunteer management, curriculum development, marketing, evaluations and or facilitation -- this is a great opportunity for you!
