Job Description
 
We are looking for experienced negotiators to help build the Vendor Negotiation & Customer Trust (VNCT) offerings. The VNCT team supports all Retail categories worldwide by building tools and providing training that prepares Amazon category leaders and vendor managers for vendor negotiations.

The person in this role will train Retail teams on the importance of data-driven negotiations, and yet understand the nuances of treating a vendor like a customer and the power of building long term vendor relationships. They will help build a comprehensive negotiation training curriculum that includes in person category leader training, vendor manager training, monthly brownbags, testing and certification. The solutions they create will be scaled across all of Amazon Retail. In addition, this person will bring together best practices across the company to build specific topic negotiation classes, develop negotiation tools, and provide negotiation coaching. A successful candidate would have experience in Retail negotiations, as well as experience presenting to large groups, developing written teaching material, and managing logistics. The ideal candidate should be interested in teaching others how to improve their negotiations skills through tool application, in-class training, and monthly brownbag sessions. To top it off, they should have a great sense of humor and work well with a team. This is a good opportunity to think big and be creative.
 
Basic Qualifications
Experience communicating and presenting to senior leadership
Experience interpreting and communicating analytics
Experience managing multiple projects - work prioritization, planning and task delegation
Experience developing training content
Experience with public speaking and training professionals
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of relevant experience
Retail or Negotiations background
Proven negotiating skills and influencing abilities
Strong analytical skills, with particular attention to detail
Good at communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience
Technical aptitude and agility to learn web-based tools
Ability to lead and influence
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
MBA preferred, but not required
