 ASTDps: May 2014 Chapter Meeting

Using Creative Awareness to Build Your Capacity for Innovation

Innovation is the outcome of a creative process and healthy organizations learn how to support creativity and creative thinking throughout every function. Although building an organizational culture for creativity and innovation can be a major undertaking, creativity is a powerful intrinsic motivator, and small interventions can make a big difference.

This session explores how creativity is essential to innovation; demonstrates the impact of behavior upon the organizational climate for creativity; and gives learning and development professionals tools for micro-interventions that can strengthen employees’ creative thinking and intrinsic motivation.

Participants will learn behaviors that support creative thinking, and gain insight into their own current creative awareness. They will leave with a clearer understanding of the impact their behaviors can have upon the organizational climate for creativity, along with techniques for supporting creative thinking in training and coaching situations.

7:30 AM – Doors open, networking
