Today, with accelerating technology and social change, there is growing demand for innovation: powerful new ideas turned into practical products and services. Even when there are good innovative ideas on the table, few people understand how to take an idea from conception to commercialization. Organizations of all kinds can benefit from a proven process to develop innovative, customer-specific solutions. The Target, Explore, Develop, Optimize, and Commercialize (TEDOC) methodology is being put to use today locally and worldwide to innovate new solutions and solve problems faster and with a better success rate in the market.  Through presentation, brief exercises and discussion, participants will learn to explain the five phases of the TEDOC innovation process and walk away with ideas for how to leverage it in their learning and development programs and organizations.

 

About the Speaker

Praveen Gupta is an international thought leader in process management and a co-creator of the famous Six-Sigma quality process originated at Motorola, where he won three of that company’s prestigious CEO awards along with the Motorola Engineering Award. In recent years Praveen has turned his formidable intellect on developing a process to routinize innovation.  Based in Chicago, he now teaches at the Illinois Institute of Technology where he is the founding director of the university’s Center for Innovation Science and Applications. His consulting practice takes him around the world where he works with companies of all sizes to help them become more innovative.
