Courageous Collaboration -- Live Learning Laboratory
To improve morale, increase employee satisfaction, drive innovation and enhance employee engagement, we need tools to create culture change. But facilitating organization change is hard and requires courageous collaboration!
Designed for internal leaders and external consultants who wish to improve their understanding of and experience with collaboration, participants will:
• Learn how Gracious Space can help groups work better together
• Learn the Courageous Collaboration Change Framework and tools/techniques to advance courageous collaboration
• Know how the framework can be applied to a specific context
• Develop a shared sense of mission around collaboration
This overall purpose of this workshop is to facilitate a peer-to-peer experience that builds local relationships, and explores our best thinking and techniques for how to improve trust, communication and collaboration in the groups we serve and consult with.
Key components include:
- Creating Gracious Space – build foundational understanding
Courageous Collaboration Change Framework and how it can be used to create openings in groups
Panel Discussion with HR leaders who have used Courageous Collaboration and Gracious Space
Application to specific context or situation of participants
Costs: $149 for ASTDps members and members of partner organizations SHRM, PDODN, ISPI; $179 for non-members.
Admission price includes lunch and afternoon refreshments.

About Pat Hughes:
Patricia (Pat) Hughes is an enthusiastic, hands-on facilitator and leadership development consultant who has worked for the past 20 years with individuals, organizations and communities to increase their leadership capacity. Pat has been the principle of Trillium Leadership Consulting in Seattle since 2005.
Pat is also a Senior Partner at the Center for Ethical Leadership (CEL) where she leads the national Gracious Space Initiative, providing training and facilitation to groups across the country. Gracious Space is a powerful group approach that invites diverse opinion and generates shared learning toward strategic goals. She is the primary author of the Center's best-selling book Gracious Space: A Practical Guide for Working Better Together, and primary author of Radical Collaboration with Gracious Space: From Small Openings to Profound Transformation, published in April 2011.
Pat holds an M.A. in Organization Systems Renewal from Antioch University with an emphasis on sustainable community leadership, and a B.A. in Economics and International Relations from the University of New Hampshire.
