ATDps: June 2024 Virtual Member Event
Mentoring Programs are an effective way to build capabilities of employees in organizations. They are associated with greater career satisfaction, mobility, and personal development such as increased skills in relationship-building. Mentoring Programs likely are catered to "high-potentials." But I am going to share about building a Mentoring Program accessible to everyone, which brought DEI considerations into play.
Key Takeaways:
- Identify the purpose of a Mentoring Program.
- List DEI considerations in mentoring programs, and get specific about what is meant by them.
- Set measures for effectiveness of the mentoring program through DEI lens.
Our guest: Amy is a 5-year member of ATDps with a passion for the employee experience within organizations. As Learning & Development Partner at the Community Health Plan of Washington, she runs the Onboarding and Mentoring Programs along with all Employee Growth initiatives. She is currently creating some practical Career Navigation workshops for employees, which she is very excited about. When she's not working or volunteering at ATDps, she enjoys spending time with her nephews, hiking, and taking walks with friends.
