About the Presenter:
Camie Whidden is a Learning and Development Program Manager who works with staff, executives, and vendors to bring innovative, effective, and diverse training and development tools agency-wide to help personal and professional plans, human-to-human.
Camie has spent nearly 2 decades working in training and development for the private and public sectors. Facilitation, strategic planning, leadership, coaching, teambuilding and communication are her specialty. Camie knows what truly engages people. It’s training that isn’t the flavor of the month. It’s how well you connect with people you’re trying to develop and communicate your understanding back to them. It’s about showing up authentically and getting involved.
Currently she is a core member and facilitator for the King County Housing Authority REDI Team - Racial Equity Diversity and Inclusion. She is also the Vice President of Toastmasters- “Speakers of the House” committee.
Camie also enjoys teaching part- time as a certified Microsoft Instructor and Leadership Development instructor for Everett Community College. She has several Facilitation/Instructor certifications such as Fierce Conversations and is currently working on her Courageous Conversations (DEI Practitioner) Certification.
Puget Sound Chapter Programs have been pre-approved by the ATD Certification Institute for continuing education credits towards professional development hours for recertification of the Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) and Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) credentials.
