ATDps: May 2021 Virtual Member Event

What’s the best presentation, event or meeting you’ve recently attended or seen? What was impactful that you left the event thinking, wow as you walked away? Was it the PowerPoint slides, the font size, the color scheme, the charts? No, it was the story behind those charts, the story behind the data that truly captivated you and made you feel as if you were part of the presentation or ready to take action. Take some time this May 18th at 4 PM PST to hear from subject matter experts, Susan J Grella and Buu Lam, on how to entertain, educate and inspire through impactful storytelling!

Susan Grella is an award-winning creative producer and animator. As Associate Producer of Vulcan Productions, a media company founded by the late philanthropist and Microsoft co-founder Paul G. Allen, Grella served a wide range of acclaimed, cause-based documentary feature films and series including School of Hope (2021), Youth v Gov (2021 winner of the Cleveland International Film Festival), Chasing the Thunder (2019), and Academy Award® nominated documentary film Hunger Ward (2020). Grella also produced a number of 360° films including Guardians of the Kingdom (2019), Seattle Seahawks: The Art of the Play (2018), Death Planet Rescue (2018) and Justin Timberlake’s Montana (2018) experiences for the Museum of Pop Culture.

Prior to joining Vulcan Productions, Grella was a Senior Licensing Coordinator for Microsoft’s award-winning Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon video games for the Xbox console and PC.

Grella belongs to Women in Animation, Latina Geeks, and Future for Us organizations dedicated to the advancement of women in the fields of animation, technology, and other professional spaces.
