How do you make connections and get what you need from your colleagues when you work by yourself in your home office? In this training, Teresa will show you how to manage conflict, create community, and keep out of sight colleagues top of mind. Attendees will leave with actionable tips for building connections in both completely remote and partially remote teams.

Speaker Bio: 

Teresa Douglas is a People and Operations manager for Kaplan Test Prep. She has worked remotely since 2010 managing staff and processes across North America. Based in Vancouver, Canada, she specializes in strategic analysis and operations management. She is a co-author of Working Remotely: Secrets to Success for Employees on Distributed Teams (published Jan 2020 via Simon Shuster). Her work has appeared in The Muse, Forge, CEO World, and Training Magazine. 

She has an MFA in Fiction from Sarah Lawrence College, and an MBA from The University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. This makes her a natural at coming up with reasons for her children to go to bed and stay there.
