ATDps: March 2020 Virtual Chapter Meeting

Fundamentals of Leading Change

EVENT DESCRIPTION

Change is a constant in most of our organizations and as learning professionals we often find ourselves helping to lead and implement the changes. This session will prepare you to better understand what happens on the human side of change and build your own check-list to leverage when supporting changes within your organization. We will review the Kubler Ross Change Curve and the Neuroleadership Institute’s SCARF model to explain the human side of change and how people process change at an organizational and personal level. Then we’ll explore a simple checklist for change derived from the change models of the last 80 years and key questions to use with when creating a communication plan. This jam packed session will be interactive and leave you with helpful tools to use during your next change effort.

Three pieces of content (articles, podcasts, videos, etc.) relating to change management and/or the human psychological overlap thereof
